ABOUT MARTIN
Martin has spent the past 16 years running and producing fun and uplifting shows and events.
Martin is a trained & certified mindfulness teacher with the esteemed Mindfulness UK (Foundation Degree Level 4 Certificate) Accredited Qualification with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) a certified happiness facilitator with the Museum of Happiness & Mindfulness in Nature guide.
The founder of Upgrade Your Day® and creator of the 3 minute Upgrade®. Martin has a personal mindfulness practice and teaches an 8-week mindfulness & self-compassion course. He also teaches his 3 Minute Upgrade® method in various workshops and corporate settings.
Martin has his own podcast series called, Upgrade Your Day. He talks with special guests on ways they 'upgrade their day'. From photography to food, decluttering to gratitude, the moon to colour therapy. You can find the podcasts wherever you get your podcasts including Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music etc.
In his other career Martin trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts & Chichester College of Arts.
You might know Martin better as his alter-ego and award winning character, Kevin Cruise. A regular on the UK comedy and cabaret circuit. In 2010 Kevin was chosen as the lead audition for the fourth series Britain’s Got Talent and made it through to the live finals.

Martin is also the trusted side-kick of the national treasure and British TV Legend, Basil Brush. This is Martin's 9th year performing in the Basil Brush Kids Show and the show for grown ups only, Basil Brush Live & Unleashed.

Since appearing on BGT as Kevin and working with Basil brush, he has performed 7 times at Glastonbury Festival; entertained the crowds at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert in Hyde Park and part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee waving from a bus; 3, month long runs at the Edinburgh Fringe festival with producers Underbelly, Gilled Balloon and Assembly. Hundreds of performances at all major theatres, arts centres and holiday parks including; Butlins, Haven, Pontins, Park Dean Resorts, Tui, Thompson Gold, P&O Cruises.
2025 marks Martin's 16th Pantomime season, a stones throw from Windsor Castle at Windsor Theatre Royal for producers, Bill Kenwright ltd. He has now gained the title of 'Windsor's very own Calamitous Comic'
Television credits include four performances on ITV’S This Morning. Appearances on Daybreak, Britain’s Got Talent Series 4, Live at 5, and Britain’s Got MORE Talent series 4, 5 and 6. Edinburgh Nights, BBC. CRACKERJACK, CBBC.
Martin is the founder of the Kevin Cruise Foundation ( Registered Charity No 1183164) The charity provides Christmas theatre tickets for sick and disadvantaged children & families in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. The Foundation also supports Performing Arts workshops throughout the year and supports individual young entertainers from families that genuinely can't afford the fees.

For the past 15 years, Martin and his husband of 11 years, lived in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. They have now returned to Martin's home town of Glastonbury, Somerset. Martin supports many local charities and incentives in both counties. As well as enjoying walking his beloved dogs, Martin is a very good cook. Martin's husband may disagree with the last statement!
