Bringing the Magic of Performing Arts to Somerset
Making performing arts accessible to all in Berkshire & Somerset in 2025, the Kevin Cruise Foundation is thrilled to be expanding our work into Somerset—a vibrant county rich in community spirit but with many young people still facing barriers to
accessing the arts.
Why Somerset?
Our expansion to Somerset is a deeply personal and exciting chapter in the Foundation’s journey. Martin, our Founder recently returned to live in Somerset, where his own love for the performing arts first began. His experience growing up with limited access to inclusive, creative opportunities has inspired our mission from day one. Now, we’re building on our success in Berkshire to bring workshops, performances, and life-changing experiences to children and young people across Somerset.
What We Do
In Somerset, just like in Berkshire, we aim to:
• Deliver Performing Arts Workshops in schools, youth clubs, playgroups, and hospices
• Fund Trips to the Theatre for families, schools, and young people who may not otherwise have the chance
• Support Budding Talent with funding and mentoring in both performing and technical arts
• Champion Inclusivity, especially for those with special educational needs, disabilities, or from disadvantaged backgrounds. We believe every child should have the chance to shine—on stage, behind the scenes, or simply by enjoying the magic of live performance.
How You Can Help
As we grow our reach into Somerset, we need your support to make a lasting difference:
Fundraise: Organise a coffee morning, host a talent show, run a local event, or set up a birthday fundraiser on social media. Every penny helps us reach more children with creative opportunities.
Donate: A one-off or regular donation—large or small—goes directly to our projects. From theatre tickets to workshop materials, your generosity helps us open doors for those who need it most.
Volunteer: We’re always looking for passionate volunteers to help with workshops, community events, admin support or fundraising. Whether you’re based in Somerset or nearby, your time and energy can have a huge impact.
Join Us in Somerset
Whether you’re a local school, youth group, artist, donor, or simply someone who believes in the
power of performance, we’d love to hear from you.
